Iraq formally known as Republic of Iraq is a beautiful country in Western Asia, surrounded by Turkey to the north, Iran lies in east, Kuwait to the southeast, Saudi Arabia lies into the south, Jordan southwest, and Syria lies in west. The principal, and major city, is Baghdad. The main racial groups are Arabs or Kurds and others comprise in the Yazidis, Armenians, Mandeans, or Kawliya. Approximately 95% of the country’s and 36 million citizens Muslims, or Christianity, Yarsan and Mandeanism here. The authorized languages of Iraq are Arabic and Kurdish.
Iraq has a shoreline measure about 58 km and 36 miles on the northern Persian Gulf and encompasses the Mesopotamian Alluvial Plain, the western end of the Zagros mountain range, or the part of the Syrian Desert. Two main rivers, Tigris or Euphrates, run south from side to side Iraq into the Shatt al-Arab near about the Persian Gulf. These rivers supply Iraq with significant amount of lush land.
